Hi, my name is Angelina Assanti. I’m an International & National Award winning author. Thank you for stopping by.
I was born in a small town in Massachusetts. I moved to Florida to go to college and never went back. I started writing when I was in college and wrote copy and produced my own radio show. While I was in college, I had a brief stint in stand-up comedy. You might have heard, funny people are trouble-makers so I decided I’d better do something that keeps me out of trouble. Writing books is fun and I can do it on my own schedule. I have three books out but I am currently finishing up my first mystery. My first book, “The Lottery Heiress” came out in 2013. My second book, “Mark Taylor’s Checkered Past” came out in 2014. While I was writing the third book in that series, I was diagnosed with cancer and wrote my most-successful book to date, “Thank God I Got Cancer…I’m Not a Hypochondriac Anymore!” which won two national awards and was a finalist in the International Readers’ Favorite contest. It’s also an Amazon Bestseller.
The Florida Authors & Publishers Association, Inc. is dedicated to providing the highest quality of information, resources, and professional development to members and others interested in the writing and publishing profession in the state of Florida. FAPA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
I joined FAPA in 2015, when I won a President’s Award for Mark Taylor’s Checkered Past. I joined the Board of Directors in 2016 and became the President-Elect in 2017. My term begins in July 2018 at the annual conference.
